Algea Eater Feeding Question

Hey Group--

It's been a while since I've been here, but it's the first place I go when I have a tough question for fish care

I have golden algae eater, or an albino Chinese algae eater who is in my African cichlid tank. I feed him sinking algae wafers, but ever since some of my cichlids have gotten bigger, they swallow the wafers whole before they even hit the bottom and my algae eater doesn't have a chance.

Can you recommend a way I can get algae to my algae eater where my cichlids won't eat it first?

Feed him at night just before you turn the lights out.

try adding extra flakes for them while feeding the algae eater and/or extra algae chips. I have the same albino algea eater and feed him the chips, they seem to disovle much slower.

either way i'd say just trying adding a little more food. Also, Live food for the cichlids should distract them.
