I did a quick search on the forum but didn't find anything related. My Terror tank is covered in algae. In this tank I have 2 green terrors, 2 red flash cichlids, 2 parrots and 1 dinosaur birchir. They are in a 125 G and so far all is peaceful.
I tried snails and nerites but they don't let them out of their shells. I cant think of anything else to go with them except a pleco or a Chinese algae eater. I don't want to throw in something I will have to gut the tank for to get out either. I'm sure the Chinese eater will cause problems with the birchir as it gets older
I have a full grown Siamese eater in another tank but nor sure if that's a good fit

Use a scraper/sponge. Adding more fish will only make the problem worse by feeding the algae.

Also, reduce the time of lighting to only 2 hours in the evening.
