Hey I was wondering if anyone had a picture of their back glass fully covered with Algea? I just want to know what it would look like if I did that, if it would look natural, crappy, or whatever. So please if you any pics of your back glass algea covered, I would love to see them.

If you have a 3d background with rock then some algae looks natural. Covering just glass usually looks like you were just to lazy to clean it(or so I've heard).;) ;)

Thanks, but I have heard of cases where it does look good, thats why I want to see a picture of it before I ever dicided to try it.

I had this in my 135. I thought it looked pretty good:)

That does look pretty good. Another thing I thought of, is if you let it grow, it got long and lots of it, it would have to be a huge mess and pain to clean it out.

Another thing I saw in a pet shop once was really deep deep forest green algea that grew on the fake plants in this one tank. The algea on the plants wasnt very long, but is was beautiful. I talked to the owner and he said that it had taken 6 or 7 years to grow to that.

it could look good depending on what kind of algae you get. I've had really hard algai, really long hair algae(that actually looked pretty cool, except that it was on the rest of the tank, too), green bacteria, and probably 10 different kinds of algae in my tank.
some could look good in your tank, but some are butt ugly.

Might look good with java moss.... you'd need something to attach it with, although a small rock siliconed to the glass may be enough.

rallysman that is amazing, you got any more pictures of that setup with the background?

I might have at home. I'll look and see what I can find.
