What tempreatures do these fish live in never kept any type of gar, was wondering if they could live in a koi pond in the uk.

As stated by brooklamprey at AP:
Spotted, Shortnosed and Longnosed and Gator are all very capable of surviving Temps into the low 40's (if not lower).. In all reality these fish are far from being Tropical by any means.

What is the possible lowest temp in your Koi pond?

if you put it in there don't have any koi in with it...gators arn't found in areas where it freezes so if it gets to cold you can't have it in there...

This is true but not for life, I think the UK wouldn't have warm enough periods to compensate.

As much as I would like to trust it, I would not risk it.

I have a 1500 gallon pond which I made for my gars, but I just took them out because I noticed a huge loss in appetite which I am almost positive is due to temperature decrease.
Its not a matter only of their bodies being physically able to survive harsh temperatures, but the fact that they are not in a "normal state" (Aka waters around 60-80 degrees), they may lack the strength or desire to want to hunt to survive.
