Alive or dead ????

Hi guys was just wondering if this plant ? is still alive or dead as it’s looking a bit scruffy. Dunno weather the fish and shrimp are eating it ??? Should I remove it from the tank or leave it be ???

Looks alive. Would trim it. What fish do you have? Moving it might cause it to melt but if fish/shrimp are eating it then I’d just risk it and move the plant.

Maybe i'm wrong but this doesn't look like an aquatic plant. These thick branching stems look like being of a terrestrial shrub.
