All-Glass Versa Top

Has anyone tried cutting off a piece of the All-Glass Versa Top http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/Prod_Display.cfm?pcatid=3790&Nty=1&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=All&N=2004&Ntt=glass%20top&Np=1 . I need to cut off a small piece to fit in my filters.

I have no experience cutting glass, but I know you can buy cutters at H.D. or Lowes. Depending on your local hardware store, they might be able to cut it, too.

the plastic strip on the back can easily be cut with scissors or a razor blade.... if you need to cut the glass go buy thin acrylic sheets from HD or lowes and may a new top
