so i have a 55 (i have plans to upgrade to a 6' tank eventually) with the following stock (the cichlids and sd are all about 2", pleco is about 4"):

jaguar cichlid
texas cichlid
green terror cichlid
3 silver dollars
hi fin spotted pleco

the question i have is if there is a all in one food? something i could put in that all of them would eat. right now i feed cichlid sticks, shrimp pellets and feeders (mostly guppies, but rosy reds every now and again). so just curious if there is not a good all in one food, is what i am feeding ok? also what would be the best things to feed for the stock list i have?

thanks in advance for any information, it is greatly appreciated. will be posting some pics when i can manage to take ones worth a crap.

avoid the feeders, they arent the best nutrition. try a pellet for a staple food such as hikari cichlid gold or new life spectrum (NLS) thera A. both are foods that are relished by cichlids.

other than the feeders the rest of the diet looks ok, i would try and add in a pellet with some greens in though.

x2
Also try some Omega One

If they don't like floating pellets, like my cichlids, you might want to try Hikari Sinking Carnivore Pellets.

cichlid gold has a sinking pellet, its in a blue bag instead of the red one. NLS thre A sinks anyway.
