All Male Cichlid Tank Questions

Well if any of you have seen my other two threads you know I'm about to get a 55 or 75 (more than likely 75) gallon aquarium and am deciding on what fish to add to it. I know I want two Senegal bichirs (already have one) and the following cichlids: firemouth, jewel & convict. I originally wanted a breeding pair of convicts but have decided against it and have decided to add all male cichlids. I'm wondering if I should only do one male each or if two males of each will work out? If I only do one male each what else could I add to the tank with the cichlids? Keep in mind they have to be around six inches as adults because of the bichirs.

Any suggestions and input is greatly appreciated

Take the jewel out of the mix, imho.

Convicts will dominate firemouths.....

But you can try. All males, of course.

I've been frustrated all week trying to figure out a good mix for the tank lol. The firemouths sound like a good mix with my bichirs but not sure what to put in the them. I've been reading and jewels while beautiful sound like a bad match as well as the black convicts. I know a lot of people don't care for the blood parrot cichlids but I tend to like them. So would they work with a firemouth? Can you keep two male firemouths together? (I read somewhere that they can be aggressive with other males). What else could I add that would get along with them and not be eaten by a bichir? I've seen a lot of people with silver dollars in their tanks and while I'm not crazy about them I can go for them.

silver dollars would need to be in a group.the smallest would be 3,but they might get cramped later,as the stock reaches full size.maybe a jack dempsey? or go SA:green terror,severum,acaras-(a few kinds).i think with the 2 birchirs & 2-3 cichlids will be about max for the tank

Thanks for the input guys, I'll do some research into the Jack Dempsey since I've seen them local. I like the green terrors, severum, and acaras but don't think I could get them locally. Not too fond of ordering online but may consider if I can't find good tank mates near by.
