Anyone want to share their experience? I remember reading a few guys doing this awhile back but cant find the thread.

Can't find the thread?

Probably because all the Red Devils killed each other.

Depending on the tank size I've seen it work, if I remember correctly Miguel has or had a tank like that set up. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

You must be right!

Anyways. Miguel was definitely one of the guys. If no one replies, Ill just PM him. All that I can remember is that you have to keep males of the same size and overstock the tank. Similar to how the Mbuna guys do it.

Not to hijack the thread - I have a female Red Devil who tries to kill or eat anyone that comes near her.

Of course, many of you know I'm referring to my mother-in-law hahaha...

If there all pure good luck with an all a A.labiatus tank you would need to have it all females for it to come close to working my male is the meanest son of a b**** in the world only 9 in and flares and bites at me when I walk in the room he has jumped out of the tank to get me too
Not to be a kill joy tho I would love an all labiatus tank to but 500+ gal would make it work with males but keep the number low like 3 labiatus claim a 4 ft radius in the wild and it seems to b that way cause my male will go from tank end to tank end protecting those suckers good luck to you tho

It can be done if you have a huge tank, like this one in Shedd Aquarium.
