All male tank

Heres a pic of my all male tank in progress working on getting more fish. I was wondering what plant would look good growing in my tank i was thinking maybe a few java ferns but i want big plants

Vallisneria spiralis is native to Lake Malawi and grows fairly tall.
 
I've mostly seen Valisneria sp. plants in african tanks, u could try those

I had some jungle vals in there but never rly took off. I like vals i might get some more sometime but i think big java ferns look nice to. Idk if i need to get some ferts of i just tryed adding the vals to early i had only had the tank setup for 4 or 5 months only a few fish

well most plants won't really take off unless u add ferts and dose CO2, otherwise they just linger. U need to see what ur water params r and then choose plants accordingly to their requirements. I know u have africans but that doesn't mean ur water is hard and alkaline. U also need to make sure u have the right lighting. Some plants like java moss, fern, hornwort, anubias etc have low requirments. Check the plants profiles just like u would check a fish species profile and see if it matches with ur tank water.
