All Males

Hi guys,

Just curious to see if anyone has done a male only setup long term? Say 3 or more per tank, could there be any issues in comparison to having females in there?

I've had two males damn near kill eachother. No females involved. I think all rays have different attitudes, some will fight some won't. Also I think space factors into as well.

Male Rays are like Teenage boys and Male Iguanas....lets just say their brains are not in their heads! I think that all that pent up tension of mature males would end in frustrated males at best.

Bigger the tank the better your luck. I only have 2 males and they fight all the time... Once they breed a female they calm down for about a week lol

How big is your tank?

It's 600 gallons, 96x48x30. Maybe I'll just keep the one male and get 2 females, just worried about their size, 24-30" or so is still crammed in a 48" wide.
