The last piece to set up my new aquarium look came in today, the mermaid statue. It has been a slow process over the last 4 1/2 months to move the (messy tank destroying) tilapia out and bleach this tank clean and get it cycled. I am slowly adding fish a few at a time. The main fish are not bought yet, angelfish and blue gouramis. Since this tank is in our living room, I decided to make it as pretty as I could for my sweet bride, thus the statue and pretty little fish. ?
I still need to get some mid height plant to taper the plant outline on the right side like I did on the left. It will look a little more natural. I decided to just go with plastic plants for now, it is so much easier to deal with than a planted tank. Too busy right now. Planted tank again one day maybe.

Fish List:
4 - Skirted Tetras
4 - Lamp Eye Tetra
4 - Danios
1 - Pleco (eventually moving him out. I used him to help cycle the tank)
2 - White Mystery Snails

Future Fish:
4 - Angelfish
4 - Gouramis
1 - Fancy Small Cory Catfish
1 - Fancy Small Pleco

I may add more of the small schooling fish later if it does not seem crowded, but most likely not. I will decide based on which ones I like to watch if Ido. By the way, this tank is just a 75 long. I decided to go "old school". At the last minute I went with an old under gravel filter and a sponge filter. I was going to put a power head on the UGF, but it did not work. I may buy another one.
Wife is happy, mission accomplished, I am happy with it too. ?

When you mentioned mermaid statue I pictured something tacky like in a kids tank but I really quite enjoy your mermaid!

Well, yesterday my wife said "Can you put a small plant in front of the mermaid's boobs?"
I am contemplating what to do...

Put the that rock bubbler in front of it.
There was some though in the location of the rock bubbler. If you look close the mermaid is laying there on the bottom looking at the bubbles rising...
I may move one of the very small plants and see what it looks like. If I get a few more, it will look like she is laying in the grass...

If you are able to grow hair grass that would look awesome around your siren, :naughty:. Would hide those distracting boobies too
