All steel tank....ADVANTAGES

Ok you DIY tank builders, in this thread let me know your thoughts on ADVANTAGES only (another thread for disadvantages) on all steel built tanks, thats frame and sides.

Namely the adavatages over a wood tank that is.

Not taking into account the fab work involved, just the finished result.

If you will please i would be greatfull.

One huge advantage would be the durability, if the fab work is done correctly metalwork lasts forever and it should be extremely dimensionally stable if designed right. Another bonus is the ability to easily mount heavy duty levelling legs.

I would say durability and the ability to make non standard sizes with less worry of a seam breaking.
