alligator and spotted gar

hi i have a spotted gar in a 500 gallon tank and my friend want me to take his alligator gar and i wonder if i can have both of then in the same tank or are the gator gar gona kill my spotted when he gets bigger ?

well its hard to say i would think they would be fine u should try it because that 500g would be amazing for a gator gar it would get huge!!!

it could maybe work for a while, but in the long run it won't and the tank though a good size will be to small for a gator...a full grown gator will eat anything that it can fit in its mouth...

if you do just watch them for fights and remember that it is the same fish as in you avitar

My 14" florida was swallowed alive by my 2' gator a few days ago. I never imagined that something like this could happen. They grew up together and when the time I brought them home, the florida was almost twice the size of the gator.

i kept a foot long gator gar with about a..9-10 inch spotted. no problems. just keep your eye on em and keep the gator fed good
