How can i identify alligator gar male or female. I brougt a gar in 2014 and when he grew around 1.5 ft i brought another pair of alligator gars. I waited till they become around 1ft and i put them in with the big guy. Next morning i found one of my gars throat riped open by the big gar. But he didnt harm or even chase or bite the other smaller one. Its over a year they are togather now. Small one stays right beside the bigone. So my question is how can i id them if they are male and female
