So some jerk on craigslist wants to sell me a 375g tank but on the condition that I take the two 24" alligator gars in there. I saw the tank in person--no filters, sitting outside, dead guppies line the bottom. Needless to say, these majestic creatures deserve better! However, after reading many of the "garticles" on here and other sites, this tank is not the proper enclosure for these guys. I really want to find them a home before I purchase the tank seeing how (A) they are illegal to keep and (B) I cannot afford a better home for them. I have called several zoos, sea world, and aquariums but no one has spot for them. I am asking for some guidance from the "garmy" so that I may make an informed decision before buying the tank and help these wonderful creatures.
