alligator gar tips

hi all,

any tips on taking care of an alligator gar? do they like strong current? are they top water fish dwellers? any tips? i tried taking care of one and i put in with my 2 spotted gars and last night i just saw the alligator gar dead. they are temporarily in a 75gal tank. im just wondering what i did wrong. the spotted seems to be unaffected by any changes and i never saw them bullying the alligator gar.

Well you shouldn't have a problem with gators with spotted...and they love current and they reside where ever...lots of times top water...but they will sit on the bottom as well. how big are these fish?? small i hope...75 gallon is small for these fish

gars are roughly 7-8 inches, endli is around 5, no alligator gar yet though. planning to get a bigger tank by April.
