Alligator Gar with a friend

Can my 3-4 inch red tail catfish live with alligator gars around 4-5 inches. The workers their doesnt really recommends it because it eats live fish and worms, mainly meat. My tank is around 35 gallon but will be going for a big upgrade because i know rtc grows fast

Tbh you need a pond for both Redtail and Alligator Gar.

That's a dangerous combo but with vigilant observation, I think you can do ok. Keep both fish kinds well fed. But as they grow, changes will be needed, separation is likely.
