Is it illegal to have an alligator gar in Colorado?

Just looked. All true gars are a no-no in CO.

Colorado division of wildlife site lists them as a prohibited specie but it also has a exception for private aquarium. So I think they are legal best bet is to call them. The laws here are written with some really confusing language.
Btw there is a guy selling a 18 ” one and a 150 gallon tank for $650 on craigslist

Yeah, i asked him how much he would take. He said $100 im thinking of purchasing it.
