i found a mouse in my garage this morning, it was a little grey one about 2.5" long plus tail.. i threw it in my lizard cage untill i could do something with it. i was gone for about 40 mins, came back and theres no mouse! lizard looks like an hour glass. lol.

came home around 3pm and theres a nice new freshone layin on the grasscarpet on the cage... lizard is fine. shes only about 9" plus tail so about 14-15"....

That's awesome. :D My brother used to have an alligator lizard who he fed crickets and occasionally pinkies.

WOAH!!!

Wouldn't rabies be of concern?
I don't know if it affects cold-blooded's , but I know humans are susceptible!!

ya. reptiles cant get rabies...
i found it in a box by the washer (must have fell in last night) and i didnt know what to do.. so i just threw it in the cage... i didnt think the lizard would attempt it.

I meant YOU!!!

I would never grab a wild mammal.
Rabies, if it doesn't kill you, will make you insane......literally.

i hope you dont use mouse poison because it could transfer into youre aligator lizard but still fretty awesome!

Yeah, pretty cool, but the thing I would be worried about would be if the lizard grabbed the mouse wrong and the mouse bit the lizard back. This could lead to a potentially fatal infection.

thats what was running through my mind. that and how ferking awesome is that!!!:headbang2

what i don't think anyone understands is that the mouse was wild, i repeat wild. parasites, the neighbors rat poison the disease it has from eating god knows what. i will never and have never mixed a wild animal with any of my animals. the potential for something bad to happen is just to great for me. it is pretty cool that the lizard ate a mouse.
