Hello.

My name is Justin James and I just joined. I am from Nova Scotia Canada and am a team leader of the Nova Scotia Marine Aquarium Society (MASNS) www.masns.ca
I have all marine tanks and what I have is....
One 180 gallon acrylic tenecor aquarium with two 3 month old banded bamboo sharks, 1 marine betta, and soon to come a zebra moray eel. I am up grading to a 320 gallon soon since I added the betta and eel and dont want to cramp anyone in there. The sharks only require a tank with a surface area of 6 feet x 2 feet but like I say there is more than just the 2 sharks in there now so an upgrade is in the near future.

I also have a 25 gallon tall with 9 dwarf seahorses that are the beginning of my breeding stock since I am trying to breed them and make a little money off this great hobby.

And last but not least I have a 20 gallon maroon clown tank with some corals. I used to have a 75 gallon reef but the bottom busted out of it a few months back and I lost everything. That was a sad day.

Well thats me. :)

JJ.

Hiya Justin, welcome to MFK

welcome, would love to see pics of your seahorses!

my lfs had some sea horses breed. they were running around like crazy people to try and get them so they were happy. apparently the babies get sucked into the filter system really easy, they had to put some really fine sponges or something in front to catch them and reduce power

Ummm....i dunno, but last time i checked marine bettas didn't get very large. Your keepin one with two bamboo sharks AND soon to be a zebra moray? Hawaii dragon eel might almost be better...more expensive. Might wanna bump the betta up to a miniatus grouper or something that gets a might bit larger mate!! haha....either way! welcome!

I agree with PP, a 6" slow moving betta could easily become a pricey snack.

Meant to say its more expensive but better lookin and totally worth it. Was gonna say it had less chance of eating things, but they have large mouths so i recant that...haha
