Almond Leaves Noob.

Anybody experience with Almond Tea Leaves? I just bought today. The box says do not use active carbon with tea leaves but the fish store owner says its fine. So I think I should remove Carbon and just use the Almond Leaves to soften water? If I remove the Carbon would my water no longer be crystal clear?

Never used myself, but I would guess the leaves are going to color your tank water.

I've always wondered if I could just place a few leaves in one of my emporer 400's and just replace as needed. I did the blackwater extract thing back when I started with aro's but it was just to pricey. Even more so when I finished the drip system. It would be nice to get the effect again though

i dont know about almond leaves but in asia theres ketapang leaves that really good for aro
ketapang and almond r different as far as i know
