Then a damn ant crawled on me, skeeved me out, and has me saying wtf. I haven't had ants in like 8+ years after my cousin did a pest control spray (she was a licensed PCO). She is now estranged from the family.. going to call a pest control company I guess, can't win lol.

I am the pest control company now lol, I remember what chemical we used last time and was able to order it offline, just have to get some bait traps to take care of indoors.
I think not might be more interesting why the cousin is estranged from the family if you don't mind telling.
Fight with her mother because she married someone who is abusive to my younger cousins and someone called DYFS on them. Of course he was to scared to say anything and nothing happened. She no longer talks to her mom who she blames - which it wasn't her pretty sure it was someone from his school and in turn on longer talks to the rest of the family.
I hate ants I'm also allergic but something you can try that me and my wife did was take a spray bottle and mix vinegar,bleach,dish soap and alittle water together and spray it around your outside (doors and windows). I kept finding spiders in my house and sprayed that on the outside and not one bug since.

I actually picked up something similar using it until my termidor comes in best outdoor pesticide I have ever used.

I would have found an organic solution to the problem, there has to be something cool that its ants.
