Well first things first... we bought a house so i have to do alot of fish moving...
of all the fish that i have it was the pbass that gave the hardest time!! :irked:
1st, it was a hassle trying to catch it!
2nd, it always pinches holes on the plastics im using.
(i dont have another cooler, coz my arowana is in there)
3rd, so i run off to canadian tire and bought a medium sized cooler (returned it after btw) :D

so there he is, i didnt use aerators on both coolers coz i know a 30 min stay in there would be ok.

so here we come in the new house with the tank waiting... (not even cycled i think) i opened the cooler what do i see? an upside down pbass... i was so irked!
i thought hes dead, but i saw gills moving very slowly i quickly pick it up and put his face against the power head... for 30 or more minutes...

i tried my very best to save him running his gills on the powerhead pushing him slowly back and forth... he fought and fought i see even tho he was upside down for a couple of time after releasing him...

He finally got his balance after 45 minutes probably in the tank. And i was so happy and relieved. Well, i just wanted to share my experience and hopefully some1 can learn something from it. I did not know pbass do not do very well on moving and transportation. (my Arowana had no problems at all)

Sorry for the very long story i was out of MFK for a week and i felt i had missed so much. Anyway, thanks God it was a happy ending for my pbass...

thank u for fighting Ozzy... i almost lost you. here he is now..

Now that you know how important the oxygen levels are for moving Cichla, don't forget to use aerators or oxygen tablets even if it will be only a few minutes.

Even when moving them from tank to tank directly in a matter of seconds, extra aeration in the receiving tank help them cope with the stress of getting captured and out of water for a while.

Hes a nice fish! Lots of red. Glad you got him back to life.
