almost lost my weeksii

i kept looking for my weeksii today in his usual hiding spot under a pot. and after about 3 or 4 times. i noticed he really wasnt there. so i was checking my built in filter and there he was in one of the sumps. fat as hell. hahaha glad my tanks fully enclosed or i would've lost him today. usually he never moves but i guess he went on an adventure today.
 
close one!! do you keep feeders in your sump?

my weeksii is pretty secretive also, only comes out around feeding time. sometimes i catch her floating on some plants in the morning but she slips in her hiding spot before i can get any updated pictures. even though i dont see her as much as the other bichirs i have, she is still my favorite.
 
i had a weeksii for about 1.5yrs and i only saw it eat 4 times they are a nice fish but a little bit slow off the mark at feeding time :D
 
honestly i set up his pot just the way i wanted. so with my lil keychain light i could see him anytime i want. i dont keep anything in the sump. i have never gotten anything that has escaped into there from my seaclear 2. i was just doin dailies and checking he wasnt in his pot. sometimes he likes to swim to the top of the pot and hide but always has to come down. yesterday tho he wasnt coming down. had to hunt for him. on a positive note i have gotten alot of views of him eatting frozen krill. i love my weeksii. hope i never lose him to something silly as leaving my tank open.
 
that was a close one, your weeksi made quite an adventure, is your built in filter in or out of your tank? i would image i would be big enough to fit yourr weeksii
 
its in the tank. nothing sticks outta my acrylic tank =). its my pride n joy. paid alot for that lil sucker.
 
thank you. my goal is to one day get a bigger tank same set up. =) would be nice
