can you grow aloe in your tank?I wouldnt think it would be harmful since its actually good for you in many ways.Just wondering if I could just throw some in a tank and let it grow or would the water kill it?

another question-whats the deal with bamboo?I see it for sale at all the chain fish stores-is this actually able to just grow under water without rotting eventually or dieing?thanks for the help

no you cannot grow aloe vera in your tanks as it is a desert plant that does will rot with to much water.

99% of the time bamboo will rot but i have seen a guy grow it in his sumps like mangroves and he said it works great for him so i don't know for sure.

I too was curious about the bamboo. I was just at the store the other day and all they had were a few sword plants and one bamboo (stick?) It had roots on it. I didn't think bamboo grow under water.
