Hi! I joined this site as a way to meet people in the Honolulu area who might be able to adopt my clown loaches. I am not a monster fish keeper, but my clowns need someone who is. And I'm having a lot of trouble finding them a suitable new owner.
I have three 3 inch clowns and one 5 inch clown in a 55 gallon tank. The first three were bought because I was a newbie and didn't know what I was doing. (Well, in my defense, I kinda knew what I was doing: I went to the lfs shopping for cory cats for a 20 gallon tank, and the employee told me that clown loaches would be a better choice. What I should have known was not to take his advice and buy something I hadn't researched myself first.:irked:)
The last clown was a rescue purchase. He was in very bad conditions (at that same lfs) so I took him, knowing that all my clowns would be rehomed soon anyway.
So, these guys are now very tame and friendly fish. They're pets, and I want their new owner to be committed to caring for them properly in a large enough tank, so I figured this site might be the place to meet someone like that.
If you live in the Honolulu area, and might be looking for 4 new clowns, please reply to this thread.

WELCOME TO MFK. don't know anybody off the top of my head that wants CL, but if i do, i'll let you know.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, mudfrog, my clowns are doing fine now, but I'm also moving back to the mainland sometime within the next two years, so I figured I might as well go ahead and start putting the word out now about my clowns.
And I guess I'm glad I did--I posted on both AC and loaches.com over a month ago, and still haven't found anyone. One person from AC might be moving out here--he's waiting to find out. So far he's the only person who's offered to adopt my fishies.
