I want to het another tank for my living room. I sold a 125 because it was too big, so I was looking to get a 4 foot tank for the living room. I hate not having a tank in that room. I decided I was going to do a family vote and I asked everyone if the miss having an aquarium in the living room and I was all alone. My husband and our two daughters agreed that they do not miss having a tank in the living room. They even went as far to say that they did not want another tank in there! Who are these people! and what the heck is wrong with them!!!! I just can't believe what I just heard! Now my husband is saying that i should not get another tank because I am the only one who enjoys it and I already have one in the bedroom :(

Bribe the kids.....let them pick the fish behind tour husbands back....thats what I did once th kids are on your side game over ! now my son loves the hobby and basically picks the fish that go into the living room tank and I get the one in the basement.

Since when does the non-income-earning kids have any say in what Mom puts in the house? I'd have the kids show me the mortgage payments in their names before I give them any vote in the decor of the house. And, if my wife wanted a tank in the living room, my go-to response for everything is 'Yes, Dear.'

I agree. It was a stupid idea to do a family vote. I don't care what the kids think but I just gave my husband more ammo to fight the idea of another tank. I know me imma get another regardless of what hubby thinks. I just really hate that after all this time I am still the only one in this house that enjoys fish

I feel bad for you guys who are the sole fish lovers in your house. I'm the first fish keeper in my family and both my parents are incredibly supportive (my mom loves the "cuter" fish and my dad likes the DIY aspect of it).

This is is also why I refuse to date girls who either don't love fish or are fine with me having a multiple dozen tank Fishroom.
