I know the females are a dull gray but how can I get them to spawn are they open water or mouth brooders? Can I leave both males with the females or are they harem spawners?

Some quick questions. How long have you had the fish? Did you buy them as juveniles? Do you do regular water changes, 20% weekly? Are your water parameters correct? How many females do you have for the two males? You might find the males spend all their time chasing each other.
Your fish might still be too young.
Do you feed any food with male hormone as an ingredient? If so this will inhibit the females ability to reproduce. Stop it and give them a month or two for it to clear their systems.:naughty: :woot: :clap :headbang2

I do water changes right now there are no females & the males are seperate just wanted to get an idea so I know how many females to get & set up. Thanks for advice. I don't know about food usually some type of tetra or wardley pellets. yes I've bred cichlids & other fish so I know about water changes for growth rates & stimulations.

Have you tried spawn-aid? from Dr's Foster& Smith It creates the ultimate breed environment, as well as growth stimulant. Sorry if I offend anyone who dosen't believe in it. I like it, I also use Cichlid essential it's a mineral supplement for hard water cichlids, it's to make the tank water more like the lake where they came from.
Assumeing they came from a lake;)
