x nigiri....they all chill together. tank is a 125g...

also have 2 brown ghosts and am getting a black ghost (maybe)

yea. they do real well. plenty of rocks/wood/plants. the brown ghosts stay on opposite sides of the tank. there is no interaction at all with the africans. ill take pics soon.

How old are your knifes? I've heard reports of them getting older and becoming territorial.

Anyway, that sounds amazing. If the knifes are the only fish in your tank, you could add more, otherwise, you might overstock. I'd hold back on getting a BGK though, because they can be aggressive towards other electric fish, especially ones that look like them.

Oh, and pics would be nice.

its very hard ot get good shots of them especially all togehter. here is 6/7 of them anyways.

full tank shot.

all the africans stay together in a gang btw. about 5 are adults and 2 are "teens"

That's a beautiful tank.

It would be amazing if you tried to breed them. Never heard of any attempts, and I'm curious as to what it's like. I'm sure you have at least one male and female...[FONT=Arial, Helvetica]

That's really neat. I love my ABK, if they do ok in groups I will try to get more...he used to be so shy but now he's right there begging for food all the time.

Although it's really cool, it is not a good idea. For one the bioload has to be violently high. And also, knifefish have impaired vision which gets worse with age. For this reason they emit electrical shocks to smell food, danger and cover. These can interfere with other emissions and cause them to get disoriented and they will stop eating. Very nice though!
