Ok so its done cycleing and basically the only think it has in it at the moment is sand and 3 small clown loaches. what else should i put in it? i was thinking dats and a poly or two, and maybe a baby aro. i plan on this tank being a grow out tank, not a permanent home for any of the fish i just named. what are you suggestions on what to stock it wit? also, i kindof want to make it a planted tank because i think they look awsome. but i have never set up or had a planted tank before. what do i need to set it up? and would i have to take everything out of the tank to do it?

Read up in the planted sections. THe CL will get too big for that tank. Look at dwarf cichlids or community fish
if you want to go all out you would want a iron board (its this clay thing that goes under yyour substrate, iron is what the plants eat) then youd need halogen lighting and CO2 injection. but again thats going all out but the easy way to grow plants is to load it with nitrates and let the plants eat it , but its stressfull to the fish
