Hello everyone, I've just joined yesterday, I'm Jules.

I have a Juwel Lido 120 aquarium that is currently stocked with:

4 Rummynose Tetra
5 Cardinal Tetra
4 Sterbai Corydora
4 Albino Corydora
3 Bronze Corydora
4 Female Betta
5 Assassin Snails
50x Pest snails  (I don't mind them them too much though)

Am I over stocked? Can I add more Rummynose and Cardinal?

I also have several live plants which I do not remember the exact names of because I have had them for some time:

Various Anubis
Java Fern
Java Moss
Amazon Swords

I also have several tall plants that I have had since my very first try with plants more more than two years ago. What they're called I honestly can not tell you.

I use Tetra Complete-Substrate as well as Fertilizer and the EasyCarbo stuff though I have to admit I very rarely remember to use either except when I do a water change (every 2 weeks or so).

In the center I have a bogwood.

I'm sorry that the pictures are utterly blurry. My camera's SD card is currently at my boyfriend's so I had to use my acer's little webcam.

What can I do to make my aquarium look more attractive? The plants are sort of in absolutely no order and the bogwood sits there quite unattractively growing algae that I have to remove every week.

I'm seriously considering pulling off the java fern and the java moss because it seems to be attracting said algae like you would not believe!

Also.

I am running two filters. The filter that the Aquarium came with (that unsightly black box) and an Eheim 2213 Canister Filter.

I REALLY would like to tear out the black box, however, I am wondering if my Eheim will be able to run an aquarium all by its lonely self. Would it be recommended that I add another filter, possibly an internal sponge filter?

How can I find out if I have proper circulation throughout the aquarium? What can I do to get better circulation going?

The last two things are that I am expecting and therefore can not spend a lot of money on this project and, because the last aquarium decided to crack on me, I have nowhere to put the fish while I do these changes and therefore can not tear down the aquarium completely but rather do a little at a time and hope it doesn't hurt them anymore than a move would.

Thank yo so very much for reading my gigantic post! I truly look forward to all the advice you all have to offer me.
