there is a possibility that ill be getting a 125 gallon that i want to put some discus in, along with some neons, rummynose and otos etc etc
my question is
what type of filtration should i use that is not going to completely kill my wallet?
thanks again in advance

DIY wet/dry (assuming you have the tools and skills to build one, or know someone who does) Hands down the cheapest way to effectively filter a large tank.

off-topic warning - when they get bigger your discus might see the neons as snacks rather than as tankmates.
