Alta male

Here's some new pics of my alta male. He's the one who killed the alta female that he had paired with, although they never showed any mating behavior. He's about 8" long.

I couldn't get any pics of my only other pike, a ~4" female belly crawler. She rarely comes out of hiding.

I could only get one pic. He's still a little shy since the johanna passed away the other day.

Thanks. I wish he hadn't killed the female, she was far far prettier than he was. She had great color, plus a very bold white stripe through her dorsal. I'm on the hunt for some nice pikes again, but I got very lucky finding the 2 alta's together in a group of saxatilis and belly crawler pikes.

I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open.
