So I had the faucet fixture changed in my bathroom sink awhile back before I decided to get back into fish keeping, and now the python adapter does not fit the faucet. When I unscrew the faucet aerator it leaves the male threaded pipe (with only a few threads). The brass faucet adapter for the python is also male threaded and appears to be slightly larger than the diameter of the faucet pipe.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this? Maybe there is another adapter that I can use? I've attached a few pics - one that shows the python adapter held up to the faucet threads and the other that shows the removed aerator and the approximate diameter of those female threads that attach to the faucet pipe.

To my eyes it looks like I would need an adapter that is 13/16" female (faucet side) to 1" male (python side). Does this sound right?

A hardware store would have the right female to male adapter. The silver part is the female to male adapter, the brass is the python quick connect adapter1F3CDA9B-9A1F-4190-80D8-7834D3A835D9.jpeg

Cool. I'm hoping to be able to order the part online so I don't have to go into a hardware store... Does 13/16" sound like a standard size for faucets? I guess I will do a little research to see if I can find out...

Cool - I'll check those. Yeah it seems there should be some sort of universal adapter with male and female threads on each side. Thanks!

Eureka! I just realized the little gasket on the brass adapter for the Python pops out and reveals female threads! I never knew it. And those threads fit the male threads on my faucet spout. Problem solved! :naughty:
