Alternative foods or snacks?

What kinds of alternative foods, snacks, or treats do you feed? A friend recently suggested liver, but I've never fed liver. Anyone here ever feed liver?

My version of a snack is a couple of marble cray's i breed myself... Not too sure about feeding red meats to most fish

My Oscars go crazy for pork, so every once in a blue moon when eating pork chops, tenderloin, etc. I throw them a few pieces.

I know its bad practice but I started doing it years ago when I only had my large female Swamp Thing, before I knew any better. She didn't like any other meats, just pork. :D
 
I tried a tiny amount of beef liver last night and the red tail and ornate bichir went into a massive frenzy as soon as it hit the water. They loved it. Everything I read says it has larger amounts of fat in it and its the only downside. I like my greasy potato chips with fatting dip every few months, so I guess letting them enjoy their liver isn't so bad in moderation.

Finding MAJOR downsides to feeding calf liver. Will NEVER EVER EVER feed it to any of my pets again EVER... and I am seriously debating whether I myself will ever even eat it again and it WAS my favorite food.
