Alternative to Discus.

So since i only have a 20gall and not getting a 55 till maybe late October to mid November. What would be a cool, colorful alternative to them?

My current swimmers are

4-Lemon Tetras
1-Turquoise Gourami
2- Blue German rams
2- otocinclus
1- Bamboo shrimp

My friend wants the lemon tetras because they have breed in my tank too many times to count.

Maybe a school of cardinals? They add some good color and would do well with stock

Are marbled hatches the same as the silver ones or is that different? I would love some red blue kilies, but we only have the golden wonderer one.

Marble Hatches are different, and are a little more touchy with parameters.

I have a 30 gallon in my bedroom.. I've got some golden barbs in it.. pretty awesome.
