i'm wondering if there is something else i can feed to my large fishes, which consist of 12"+ aro, 2 large oscars, some tin foils and silver dollars, and large clown loach and balas..and some others...

the pellets are making a mess in my sump making my nitrates to rise, and want to know what other foods i can give that my fish will eat...

now i give them exclusively pellets (hikari) and sometimes floating. the maybe once in a while i would feed the aro with a pinkie or fuzzy from the lfs...

I think you should take a look at the amount and the way you feed, if it's making your nitrates go up and getting in the sump.

But you could also go with tilapia and shrimp + veg for the others.

veggies? do they eat those? you mean the frozen kinds in the Vons store?

i know my tank is overcrowded, and i don't overfeed that much. just when i walk by i give in two my fishes and maybe throw in a pinch here and there. i'll try to cut back, i know some ppl feed maybe 1 - 3 times per week...i'm feeding through out the day, but only two pinches of pellets...

I mean vegetables/ vegetable based foods. Especially for the the silvers
