Altifron X Winemilliri

Has anyone ever crossed the two specie of Geophagus..

My Female Atifron has mated with my Male Winemilliri.

The female laid the eggs > male followed to fertilize > female scooped into mouth > laid more eggs, repeat cycle.

This is their 2nd time trying so one thing is for sure, the two species can pair up. No question about that. Will be interesting to see if the eggs hatch.

With my Redheads it took about 5 or so days for the eggs to hatch. Is this the same for Altifrons?

Altifron is about 6"..

I made an egg tumbler and stripped the eggs from mama .... I feel so bad when I do this =-( ... anyways... it's in the tumbler now tumbling away. My first attempt at this so I'm probably messing it up royally ...

I think the eggs are tumbling too much...lol.... around the 1:20 mark..

What do you guys think. Is this how they are suppose to be tumbling around...Damn, I should have just left them with mama and rolled the dice..

Well, I think F'd this up royally... I think my homemade tumbler is a fail.. damn... back to the drawing board. I'm on a mission now to try and get fry's from these two.......
