Altifrons

Hi all

I am hopefully purchasing a group of 6 adult Altifrons for my tank. What do you guys feed yours?
I have read they are a type of Geo that will take frozen fish etc more readily than other geos.
I understand they are some of the bigger Geos around which is good as they will be going in with rays.

Most Geos, be they large or small, prefer small pieces of food, and have a hard time with large chunks. Their pharyngeal jaws are small, compared to primarily predatory species and not equip to process large pieces.
So if your rays are sloppy eaters, that let lots of small bits billow around, the Geos will help clean up.
My altifrons, even when 10"-12" always preferred small pellets, to large, and I find a pellet that contains a large portion of vegetable matter such as spirulina to be a more healthy choice.
