My female Alto. Comps. has her mouth half openned, would it heals? What should I do? Thanks in advance for all the helpful advice.

does it seems like it's out of its place..like kind of ..well can't explain it in inglish..so i will use the google. translator..and the word is..''rifted''..?

you can probably put it back in place..and will a little luck it will stay there but if thats not the case..it will never fix.. it a very common problem in altolamprologus..don't worry so much..it doesn't look good but the compsss will live..and it is not an issue when feeding

Thanks for the quick response.
It doesn't seem to be out of place.
I moved her to a bigger tank last night, she stayed in the shell for a while, then came to and noticed her mouth stays half way open, also have not seen her eating yet since.
Just hate myself to see her suffering.....

If it's stuck in a half open position I would look up any information pertaining to "lockjaw". Alto's can develop lockjaw and it's believed to be caused by poor water quality.

sadly that's common.

for some it's too much that they won't be able to eat.

for others it just looks like they need braces
