Quick question, is it true altum angles?

They are not. These are wild caught scalare. The slightly upturned mouth leads me to believe these are Peruvian.

They are not true altum but they are easier to breed and keep than true altum.

They are not. If memory serves me right they are wild caught from an area where a facility was flooded and altums washed into the river and it is believed that they cross bred with local scalare creating this fish. I had a school a few years ago. Great fish and easy to care for.
