ALTUM

Got these 2 altums last weekend. Theyre eating very very well.

One of them looks a bit weird is it a deformity? its the bump at the bottom of him.(Pic 1)

Does anyone know if they are true altums or not..???

Sorry, but the fish(es) in the pictures are not Altums. Not even close.

Those look like plain Silver Angels, aka Scalares.

yea, my answer is with cichlidpharmer... these aren't altums... :\ scaleres would be my guess :/

Altum Angel (Deep Angel)
One of the most beautiful of all angel species, its forehead is more steeply sloped and the body is taller than the other angels. Fins are longer and pointy. The body is silver gray with a greenish patches. Four dark, transverse bands cover the body, and one or two faint bands are also present. The first dark band runs through the eye; the second runs near the mid-section of the body, while the third runs from the tip of the dorsal fin, through the body, and to the tip of the anal fin. The final band runs on the caudal penuncle.yours could still be Altum but probably 15% or 20% .. not full Altum.. also give them a little time for full color to intensify.. they are still somewhat stressed.
