HI guys. Will Altums and Peruvians be okay together with other CA/SA cichlids.

these are

baysnooks, geos, sevs

depends on the size of the angels, how big are they ???

Sevs, yes. The rest, no. Which geo in particular are you talking about?

Satanoperca Jurupari

Geophagus Altifrons

Also adding another to that list, Uaru. This tank will be an 8x3x3 tank?

i don't know if it helps any.. but my altum angels are living happily with 3 cichla ocellaris, and 1 red bay snook and 4 silver arowana (and some haustrum snails).

Hi There
Alot depends on the size/age of the angels and of course everyone's temperment. I have in a 120 4x2x2, a juvie sev and adult koi angel.. no problem.. Had adult sevs in there also with the angel and no problem.. You have a big tank.. I think you could go with the adult angels and sev and geos.. remember with the angels, once they pair off they are really no "angels" to their tankmates...
There's someone on the site discusforums named oz who has a beautiful tank I think it was 6x2x2 with a group of silver angels, several groups of geos includ altifrons and even some blue rams. :jaw-dropp:drool::drool: Never had a baysnook so don't know about that one..
I'm adding some orangehead geos to my tank and its gonna have a juvie rotk sev, the adult koi angel and the geos.. maybe even some bolivian rams.. I'm pretty sure it's gonna work for me because the sev is still young and altho feisty not mean... and the angel can take care of itself. But you never know til you try. The fish might have their own ideas as to appropriate tankmates.

The iffy part for you would be the personality of the angels and size and same for the sev as there can be quite a wide range of personalities with them. Again your tank is big enough and I imagine if you aquascaped it with plenty of driftwood and hiding/escape places it might work for you. Don't know your substrate or any thing but I highly recommend pool filter sand. The above mentioned fish love to sift thru it..
Let us know what you decide to do and pics of course.. HTH Sue:D

Cheers Suzie, that was a great read.

Well I think I will go with that set up. I'm not really worried about the Baysnooks as they aren't aggresive with my marble angel right now.
