I've got a 75 gallon tank that was recently set up and is now ready for piranhas, I want something extremly aggressive and at the same time active. I've heard alot about the Altuvie, but a good friend of mine used to have a Manuelli so I'm not sure which to go with. Any thoughts?

There is no garuntee with either fish that you will end up with an agressive one. IME S. Maculatus tend to be the most consitstently aggressive fish.

Out of the two I would go with the Altuvie as Mannys have a history of just dieing for no reason.

manuelli's die because they are very susceptable to water conditions. as for a good fish for a 75, go with a larger rhom. less skittish and will go after anything dropped in their territory...another good choice would be a brandti or elongatus. both have a history of charging the glass of their aquarium trying to get at their owners.
