Aluminium hazards

ok after seeing the screwcumber thingamagic i want to make something similar to that using aluminium
now will i be doing something wrong
i mean will aluminium toxify the tank water

it should be fine as long as it is polished but in general aluminum is a pretty dirty metal. My hands used to be black after working with it for a day.

depending on your tank pH it may cause undesireable effects
