we were thinking of building a tank with a steel frame and useing aluminum diamond plate on the inside would this hurt the fish it will be a native tank lmb,smb that kind of thing we own a fab shop an it will be in the front office not worried about weight will be moved with a forklift

aluminum diamond plate is pretty light so I doubt you would need a forklift to move it... also I would recommend that it is polished and clear coated because aluminum is a very dirty; when I was a machinist I used to work with it every day and my hands would be black.

if the aluminium is gonna be in contact with water then there might be a prob when the PH is low

Anodize the aluminum then it should be fine and look great! You could anodized it black or another cool color! This will keep it looking nice and the water won't corrode it!

you can get it anodized clear to keep the bling...
