Forgot to or didn't add enough buffer to my RODI water...dropped pH to less that 6.0...oops. Also overbuffered a looong time ago, accidentally spilled half a jar of marine buffer into the reef tank....what couldn't dissolve remained as a precipitate and burned the corals...
Always buffer RODI water....
