Here's one for my 'Lessons Learned' book. Always have a spare.

I received a boon yesterday in free fish from my Dad so my quarantine tank is full with loaches. Well, today I look in my tank and see that one of my young Danio's tail has been nipped CLEAN OFF. :WHOA: Seems that minor aggression from one of the adult males was a bit more serious than I thought. (So much for decent school size and adequate hiding places dispersing aggression... :irked: ) Now he needs a new temp. tank while I sort out this problem and guess what? The pet stores are all closed. Lucky me. Since he is more active than my Betta even without his tail fin, he's claimed my Betta tank and my lovely Betta is confined to a fry net until tomorrow. I don't think she's too happy with me right now...

In summary, quarantine tanks are only convenient until they are full. >_<

HeHe, After a few years of fish keeping I've acquired a few spare 10g tanks. But I agree you never know what will happen.
Good Luck!
