Hi All,

Im new to this site after reading several posts on here the past few weeks. Im currently battling Septicemia with one of my koi who used to be a 15" white beauty but has now turned reddish/pink and very ill. Searching for any and all advice to help my baby get better!

Her name is BAF (big ass fish)

I realized I should add more details.. she is currently in a hospital tank in my living room so I can keep a close eye on her....only 54 gallons :/ I have tried two kinds of meds that were recommend to me, and was unsuccessful with both. (pimafix, maracyn-oxy) I dont think either was strong enough. I have read posts about adding salt though honestly I have no idea how to go about that.

I dont know how long this might take to kill her but she has been sick (pink) nearly a week now so Im getting desperate. She is by far my favorite koi and I would hate to loose her. Im not worried about costs for her so whatever advice you have I will certainly appreciate.

Howdey and welcome to MFK,
You should have a mod move your post over to the
Freshwater Diseases and Health Issues
forum, Lupin or another mod will prolly drop by shortly.
I'm no expert with your problem, I can say that people will want your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) before they start thinking. Until you get someone who sounds like they know what they are talking about, I would do a 25%/50% water change. Keep that water beyond spotless.
Good luck.
